Team League

Description: The Team League features monthly team scrambles where church teams compete against each other. Each church can have multiple 4-man scramble groups (scores are averaged), and the winning team takes home the Fellowship Fairway Cup for the year.

Our league was established with a mission to bring golfers from various churches across the Houston area together for fellowship, friendly competition, and outreach. We believe that the game of golf is not only a wonderful sport but also a powerful ministry tool that can foster meaningful relationships and spiritual growth.

Fellowship and Fun
The Houston Christian Golf League provides a unique opportunity for golfers to connect with like-minded individuals who share a love for both golf and their faith. Each month, teams from different churches gather for a round of golf in a scramble format, creating a fun and inclusive environment for players of all skill levels. These monthly outings culminate in the prestigious Fellowship Fairway Cup, awarded to the top-performing church team. The cup is then kept at the winning church until the next year's championship, where it will be passed to the new winner.

Inclusive Competition
Our league is designed to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate and compete, regardless of their golfing ability. Besides our teams, we feature individual divisions based on handicap, allowing for fair and balanced competition. This structure not only promotes a healthy competitive spirit but also encourages personal improvement and skill development.

Annual Men’s Retreat Golf Trip
One of the highlights of our league is the annual men’s retreat golf trip, held in late spring. This event is more than just a golf outing; it is an opportunity for spiritual growth, fellowship, and fun. The retreat offers a chance to deepen connections with fellow golfers and grow in faith through shared experiences off the golf course.
